El Rastro Antique's Warehouses
Working Olympia Monica Typewriter — Custom Pink and Beige - Spanish QWERTY
Picture a quiet desk, a blank page, and the satisfying click of real steel keys, now with a custom hot-pink lid on a cream 1960s classic. This Olympia Monica turns every writing session into a ritual.
Built in Wilhelmshaven, West Germany, it types perfectly in black and red, with a Spanish QWERTY keyboard and green shift keys. It has one small known issue with the paper holder, described below.
Why You’ll Love It
🧭 Very good aesthetic and working perfectly, with some signs of use visible in the photos
🧭 Spanish QWERTY keyboard with Ñ, ¿ and ¡
🧭 Equipped with 2 NEW black and red ribbons (installed). Extra NEW ribbons are $5 each, so request them before checkout
🧭 Known issue: the paper bail (the bar with the two black rollers) stays raised and doesn’t lower, so it doesn’t hold the paper against the roller. Typing is not affected, and a technician should be able to restore it
🧭 Repair note: the right platen knob was replaced with an Olympia Splendid knob that fits well and works as it should
🧭 Honest condition: the cream body shows yellowing, small paint chips and light rust spots, and some keycaps are discolored

The jacket was beautiful but arms soo short for me - so it made a good gift for a friend
The typewriter arrived from Europe to the US sooner than scheduled which was a wonderful surprise. It was carefully wrapped so there was no damage at all. It was exactly as shown in photos online. All of the keys and functions work perfectly and I’ve been using it regularly with no issue. Highly recommend this business if you’re looking for a stress-free vintage purchase!
