Hamann Manus R — DeTeWe Mechanical Calculator
A rare piece of German calculating history. The Hamann Manus R was built by DeTeWe (Deutsche Telephonwerke) in Berlin, one of the first compact machines capable of fully automatic division — engineered by inventor Christel Hamann.
This unit carries genuine vintage provenance: a French reseller sticker reading "Machines et Mobilier de Bureau — A. Veslot, Lille" and an "Importé d'Allemagne" label.

Some universal ribbon spools may slip if they don't lock into the slot on the machine. I held mine in place with a Doonail sticker and everything is working perfectly.

This typewriter arrived earlier than expected, well wrapped and padded to ensure no damage, and exactly as shown in the photos and description. All of the keys and functions are working properly and smoothly. It came with two ribbons that are working perfectly. The case closes securely over the typewriter and the color is vibrant with very little wear and tear marks. The seller was very communicative along the way and delivered on everything promised.
