The Collector’s Choice for a Reliable Luxury Experience
The Olivetti Lettera 35 is a trusty and reliable manual typewriter, representing the bold, sculptural era of mid-70s industrial design. Created by the legendary Mario Bellini, the Lettera 35 was engineered to give writers the stable, heavy-duty performance of a standard desktop office machine within a sleek, transportable silhouette. Professionally cleaned, tuned, and tested, this unit is in excellent working and aesthetic condition, operating with the distinct mechanical snap that has made the Barcelona factory runs legendary among typewriting purists.

Detailed Condition Note
The aesthetic is in exceptional condition, with the original industrial metal chassis maintaining a deep, beautifully consistent tone free from the heavy scuffs common to vintage travel machines. Mechanically, it operates flawlessly. The segment shift is light, the line advance is tight, and it supports crisp dual-color ribbon switching (Black and Red). Every key strikes with clear alignment and an instantaneous, snappy return. While it does not include a case, its sculptural lines make it a striking permanent anchor for a modern creative desk.
The Writer’s Choice
This is more than a gift; it is a sturdy legacy tool for a lifetime of stories. Whether you are a dedicated scriptwriter seeking a distraction-free environment or an industrial design collector looking for an authentic piece of European manufacturing history, the Lettera 35 is a unique investment.

The typewriter arrived from Europe to the US sooner than scheduled which was a wonderful surprise. It was carefully wrapped so there was no damage at all. It was exactly as shown in photos online.
